For fresh, drying, or canning lines the Kerian Sizer will separate accurately both peaches and apricots. The same Sizer can be used for both products, eitIher by simply sliding lane dividers or by changing the setting of the roller spacing (changing the spiral drives) when switching between products. There is sufficient volume for canning plants while assuring accurate separation and gentle handling for fresh pack. Typically a straight roller, as above, is used to gently rotate and orient the fruit until it separates onto the conveyor at the appropriate distance. The fruit is spread on the width of the takeaway conveyor according to size, and adjustable dividers allow easy selection of the desired sizes. |
